The Automated Hardness Test Rig measures the change in thickness of a friction lining material when subjected to load and temperature.
It automatically controls load, heating, timing, and displacement measurement for consistent and repeatable results.

Ensure main RCCB and ROTO switch are ON.
Set Auto/Manual mode to Manual.
Adjust preload and set load regulators as per requirement.
Switch Heater ON and allow to reach set temperature (typically 140°C).
Place specimen between indenters.
Apply preload and reset displacement gauge.
Switch to Auto mode, press Cycle Start (default timer: 60 sec).
System applies load, holds, and releases automatically.
Record final deflection value from display.
Press Release Preload, then remove the sample.
Reset buzzer and Twix controller.
Turn off heaters after use.
