CLUTCH FACING SPINNING TEST RIG – USER MANUAL

1. INTRODUCTION

The test rig evaluates the burst resistance of clutch facings at user-defined speed, temperature, and duration. The clutch facing is mounted on a rotating disc within a heat-insulated chamber capable of reaching 16,000 rpm and 250°C.


2. DESCRIPTION

  • Motor: 22 kW, inverter-duty, variable-speed AC motor

  • Drive: 2-stage flat belt system, dynamically balanced up to 18,000 rpm

  • Chamber: Steel, heat-insulated, interlocked safety door

  • Lubrication: Mist lubrication and air cooling for bearings

  • Frame: Heavy MS and cast iron, vibration-free

  • Heating: 17 kW electrical heaters, programmable up to 250°C (10°C/min rate)

  • Speed Measurement: Electronic sensor, up to 100 rpm/sec acceleration
